From the artist: As a child, I lived on the Acadian Shores of Southwest Nova Scotia and one of the most anticipated days of the year was Dumping Day (the start of the Lobster Season). As I walked the local wharf just before dumping day, the fishing pots (traps) seemed to be endlessly stacked on the back of fishing boats, fisherman (and women) would be gearing up to set out to sea, and a beautiful sense of excitement of the season ahead could be felt in your heart.
